Bags Packed for Colorado

Where did we go and month? Gunnison, CO / July (86-39 degrees)

How did we get there? Personal Plane

How long did we stay? 2 days + 2 travel days

How many people to pack for? 4 (Dustin, Prego-me, 3 & 1 year old boys)

Since we flew ourselves, we could take as much as we wanted… without going over the

weight limit. We have limited space for luggage and that cuts down on what essentials we brought. I packed just enough of what we needed and a little of what we wanted. The only thing I over packed was SNACKS, and I was left with ONE diaper when we landed back home. Kind of cutting it close… don’t ya think!!

We took two days to get there, because we didn’t know how Miles would be with his ear infection.  We packed that morning and left around noon.   Tuesday: Sulphur, LA – Abilene, TX – Albuquerque, NM Wednesday: Albuquerque, NM – Gunnison, CO

We took one day to come back.  Gunnison, CO – Santa Rosa, NM – Waco, TX – Sulphur, LA

The boys watched Nemo the whole time we were in the plane. Their Paw Patrol headphones were on half of the rides, but I guess the water scenes kept them calm. Overall we had a blast and I felt good about what we packed.

Clothes Bag

There was a washer and dryer where we stayed and I washed two loads while there! My boys don’t know how to stay clean.  Since I knew we were going to wash clothes, I decided to pack us ALL in one bag.  The little boys’ items took 2/3 of the big bag.  I mean the Vera Bradley large duffel bag is not little by any means. What is listed below includes what we wore up there. {Side note: kids that dress alike are cute, but I do it so I can pick out clothes easier, and spot them in crowds quickly!} 

For all Four: minimum toiletries, NO HAIR PRODUCTS, baby wash, 1 pair of tennis shoes each, 4 pull ups, 2 handfuls of diapers, 1 swimsuit each (only Maddox used his), undergarments

Lily-Jade Bag

This had the most important items!!

• 2 sippy cups
• chargers
• camera
• small bag of toys
• puppets
• phone
• diaper and wipe clutch
• medicine (Tylenol, ear infection prescription, Benadryl)
• spare paci
• Clorox wipes
• hand sanitizer
• crayons
• small throw away bags to collect trash or diapers

Extra Stuff

Baby Jogger City Mini, snack bag, 2 muslin blankets, DVD player, 3 DVDs shoved into one case, Paw Patrol headphones, headphones splitter, noise canceling headphones, empty cranberry juice bottle (just in case the toddler needed to go to the restroom) ha ha We never had to use it… thank goodness.

Already writing our trip down for another post. Can’t wait to show you how beautiful Gunnison is during the Summer!!
